Wednesday, April 13 — HUGE rally in Lansing. Two separate events to allow EVERYONE to attend. (You can legitimately use a half day of personal leave time to attend to business in Lansing that pertains to your personal life — your job!)
See you in Lansing on April 13
The next “We Are the People” protest at the Capitol is expected to draw more than 10,000 supporters of Michigan’s middle class. Events will run from 1-6:30 p.m., with the first program kicking off at 2 p.m. A second program at 5:30 p.m. will give more MEA members a chance to travel to Lansing and show their solidarity when it comes to attacks on public education and the middle class. Speakers will talk about the impact Gov. Snyder’s education budget cuts will have on students, communities and the middle class in general.
Plan now to come to Lansing on April 13 to make your voice heard — stay tuned to Capitol Comments for more on this and other “We Are the People” events.
